A full-service interior design firm started in 2007 created from a division of a multi-faceted home furnishings corporation, which began in 1984. Our company offers unparalleled quality, service, selection, professionalism, and value.

 

We are currently looking to expand our team with an enthusiastic, full-time Interior Designer. The Lead Designer will work collaboratively with the Operations Manager, Design Director, Design Assistants as well as in-house Expeditor and Technical Designer to ensure each project exceeds client expectations while staying on-time and on budget. Responsibilities and qualifications are listed below:

 

EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:

 

· Minimum of five years of residential design experience is preferred

· Minimum two-years’ experience in similar design role strongly preferred

· New construction and renovation expertise a must

· Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design from an accredited program is required

· Proficiency in AutoCAD is required

 

·        Attention to details, highly organized with the ability to multi-task

·        Knowledge of general principals of design and construction documents

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

·        Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is strongly preferred (Photoshop, InDesign)

·        Proficiency in SketchUp is strongly preferred

·        Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

·        Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment

·        Ability to work effectively in a team environment

·        Ability to lead a team as well as train, coach and develop Design Assistant(s)

·        Self-starter, who is reliable, focused and detail-oriented is strongly preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·        Develop and execute design concepts for projects from start to finish

·        Develop proposals and budgets for projects

·        Develop project space plans in AutoCAD

·        Prepare client presentations/mood boards

·        Ability to make furniture and fabric selections

·        Work with architects, contractors, suppliers and sub-contractors

·        Ability to make FF&E suggestions – Industry/Vendor knowledge is preferred

·        Ability to address client questions in a timely manner

·        Product sourcing and pricing from vendors

·        Provide weekly project updates to Design Director

·        Assist Team with filing, data entry, general office tasks as necessary etc.

·        Provide exceptional client care

Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday. Travel required.
